Do you know your company values? If so, do you embrace them? When I was at college I never got the “company values” thing. However, later in life I realized that when a company sets the right values in place (communicated and celebrated), they can become the most powerful tool for an organization. How? Well simply put, if your employees make decisions honoring the company values then they will make good calls. For employees that means empowerment right there. Managers must respect and support those decisions. Not to mention, management by values will create better managers. Empowered employees + Better managers = Happy company.
